"Everything in existence is crying out for a particular quality of consciousness that only humans can give. This doesn’t mean we are superior to nature, only that there’s an incredible need for a certain cooperation. The famous mystic Rudolph Steiner has said that for the agricultural process to happen, for seeds and plants, and trees to grow, birdsong is absolutely essential. This is a beautiful truth that very few people know. But we also need to take what he said one stage further, because birds call and sing not only to quicken plants: they also call to awaken the human seed that we are. They are actually singing for our sake as well.
If we can start to listen to them, really listen, they will draw us into this greater consciousness I have been talking about. They will be our teachers, because nature is able to point us to our inner nature. …We are called to be there. When we can listen to what the birds have to say, to what nature has to say, and when we perceive the beauty of nature, then we are completing the circle and returning this physical world to its source through our own consciousness."
–Peter Kingsley in an interview with PARABOLA, Spring 2006 from the issue “Coming To Our Senses.”

Madonna and Child
There are mothers.
There are birth mothers.
And there are stepmothers.
There are adoptive mothers
and there are soul mothers.
There are real life mothers
and there are heavenly mothers.
There are deceased mothers and mothers alive.
There are mothers of darkness and mothers of light.
And there are mothers of Heavens and of Earth.
There are mother goddesses and the holy womb.
There are angelic mothers of saints and The mother of God.
There are always mothers.
Mothers upon mothers upon mothers.
Earthly mothers.
Holy mothers.
I am told they are all in me.
It takes a while to see,
But in a luminous moment, I do.

Ode To The Table
Excerpted from Pablo Neruda's Ode To The Table
The world
is a table
engulfed in honey and smoke,
smothered by apples and blood.
The table is already set,
and we know the truth
as soon as we are called:
whether we're called to war or to dinner
we will have to choose sides,
have to know
how we'll dress
to sit
at the long table,
whether we'll wear the pants of hate
or the shirt of love, freshly laundered.
It's time to decide,
they're calling:
boys and girls,
let's eat!

ONE SKY, ONE EARTH, ONE FUTURE
STOP Coal Trains to China
Keep Coal in the Ground and Out of the Skies
Dig It, Ship It, Burn It- NO!
Share the Air
Message-This severe weather of this past winter gave us a glimpse of what climate change IS doing. We have to stop burning coal at home, stop digging it up, stop using up more energy and polluting the air shipping it and stop burning it to support the acceleration of the Industrial Growth Society and its increasing dependency on resources.
Message- Coal dust and pollution particulates will impact our quality of life in Gorge. Burning dirty coal in the US and on the other side of the world impacts all of us. We chare the same air with big industrialized cities, the same atmosphere with industrialized nations . The same planet with all living things.
Message- We are out of time. Our plants and oceans can not absorb carbon dioxide fast enough. Our planet is warming and we are already facing permanent climate change. We can not fix what we have done but we can stop digging it up, shipping it and burning it over in China in factories that support our overconsumption of goods!
Message- Connect the Dots Climate Impacts Day is a day of global recognition to say climate change is real. The severe weather we saw this winter is real. There is more to come. We have to stop steaming ahead in our global use of coal. We have to stop the runaway train of consumption. We have to STOP the Coal Trains.
